PROITI Hosts Representatives from Capão da Canoa for Institutional Visit to OCEANTEC and Partnership Articulation in Innovation

The Office of the Vice-Rector for Innovation and Information Technology (PROITI), through OCEANTEC – FURG's Science and Technology Park, welcomed representatives from the Municipality of Capão da Canoa for an institutional visit focused on benchmarking and knowledge exchange in the field of innovation.
 
The meeting included Silvana Gonçalves Pinheiro Schacker, Secretary of Citizenship, Labor, and Community Action; councilman Adriano Ribeiro Novaski; and chief of staff Edimar da Cunha Maria. The agenda aimed to present OCEANTEC's operational model, highlighting its infrastructure, programs supporting innovative ventures, and strategies for engagement with public authorities and the productive sector.
 
During the meeting, possibilities for cooperation with the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) were also discussed, with the goal of strengthening Capão da Canoa's local innovation ecosystem. Another key topic addressed was the importance of connecting and integrating innovation ecosystems across coastal cities in Rio Grande do Sul, promoting regional development in a coordinated, sustainable manner aligned with local territorial demands.
 
The initiative reinforces PROITI and OCEANTEC's commitment to fostering institutional partnerships and stimulating innovation as a strategic driver for regional development.
