Technology Innovation Fair to Showcase Projects from FURG, IFRS, Oceantec, and Innovatio
The 16th Technology Innovation Fair (Fitec) will take place from August 28 to September 3 at Cidec-Sul, on the Carreiros Campus of the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG). Held jointly with the 50th FURG Book Fair, the event aims to present and promote innovation projects developed by FURG’s academic and administrative units, laboratories, and research centers, as well as those from IFRS, Oceantec, and Innovatio.
Fitec offers researchers, students, and the general public a unique opportunity to discover innovations developed by regional educational and research institutions. It also seeks to foster interaction between these institutions and the community. The program includes project exhibitions, lectures, and interactive activities.
“Fitec is a technology fair necessarily promoted by a science and technology institution. It embodies the promise of a future with economic development and, above all, meaningful social progress. It is the tangible result of decades of strong incentives and substantial investment aimed at ensuring autonomous social development,” highlights Celso Carvalho, administrative technician at the Office of Innovation and Information Technology (Proiti) and member of the event’s organizing team.
Who can participate?
Eligible participants include laboratories and projects from FURG and IFRS, as well as technology-based companies linked to FURG’s innovation ecosystems (e.g., Oceantec and Innovatio). Interested parties must register by July 25 via the form available at this LINK. Projects must feature an innovation in any field of knowledge and include physical or virtual elements for public interaction.
