The Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) has been granted 30 scholarships through the RS Talentos Program, an initiative led by the Secretariat of Innovation, Science, and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (SICT/RS).
Of these, 15 scholarships are allocated to the Chemical Engineering program and 15 to the Mechanical Engineering program.
The RS Talentos Program aims to train and retain professionals capable of contributing to the reconstruction of Rio Grande do Sul following the devastating floods that struck the state in 2024. Beyond financial support, the program fosters integration with the productive sector, encourages innovation and applied research, and enhances the employability of young people—preparing them to play a strategic role in the state’s socioeconomic development.
Guidelines for the internal selection process to distribute the scholarships among eligible students will be released soon.
