Public Call for the 8th Cycle of the Academia-Industry Training (AIT) Program

The Office of Innovation and Information Technology (PROITI), through the Oceantec Technology Park, announces the public call for the 8th cycle of the Academia-Industry Training (AIT) Program, aimed at researcher-entrepreneurs interested in bringing their research projects to the market.

The initiative is promoted by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) of the Swiss Confederation and the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications (MCTIC) of the Federative Republic of Brazil, in partnership with the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). The call aims to select scientists from Swiss and Brazilian universities to take part in the international AIT program, with training held in both countries. Participants will also be eligible to compete for innovation grants.

Objective: To provide researchers with innovative, science-based projects focused on the introduction or improvement of products, processes, or services in the market, combining research and development with entrepreneurship. The program also seeks to equip participants with relevant skills to bring the results of their technological research to the market, including through international collaborations, thereby benefiting society.

Eligibility criteria for Brazilian participants:

  1. Be a Brazilian citizen (by birth or naturalization) or a foreigner with permanent residency.

  2. Hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in any field of scientific knowledge.

  3. Be affiliated with a Brazilian higher education or research institution.
