The Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) has been awarded 30 scholarships under the RS Talents Program, promoted by the Secretariat of Innovation, Science, and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (SICT/RS).
Out of the total, 15 scholarships were allocated to the Chemical Engineering program and 15 to the Mechanical Engineering program.
The RS Talents Program aims to train and retain professionals capable of contributing to the reconstruction of Rio Grande do Sul after the floods that affected the State in 2024. In addition to financial support, the initiative promotes integration with the productive sector, encourages innovation and applied research, and strengthens youth employability, preparing them to play a strategic role in the State’s economic and social development.
Guidelines on the internal selection process for distributing the scholarships among students will be announced soon.
